Caleb Leisure Ab Ovo 2019 is a red natural wine made from a blend of 70% Mourvedre, and 30% Marsanne co-Fermented in qvevri (big terracotta amphorae), pressed after 8 days into qvevri, 8 months elevage. No additions.

Caleb Leisure Wines is a small, one-person (aided greatly by the help of friends and family) natural wine project housed in Glen Ellen, CA. In 2014, after career adventures in academia and cheese, and formative internships in France, I returned to my native California to begin my own wine project. Before the 2017 harvest, I buried ten authentic Georgian qvevri in the earthen cellar at Coturri Winery. My winemaking is guided by ancient Georgian traditions and by properly grown organic and biodynamic California fruit.
