The wine is unfined and lightly filtered.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe nose leans toward hibiscus, rhubarb, and pomegranate with a hint of baking spice from the Zinfandel and a savory, chaparral-like quality from the Carignan. On the palate it is medium-bodied with lively acidity, soft tannins, and the kind of freshness that makes it easy to serve slightly chilled.
