The blend draws on Pignoletto, Trebbiano, Sauvignon, and Verdicchio sourced from old vines ranging from 60 to over 90 years of age, grown at 200 to 300 metres above sea level on clay and limestone soils.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe grapes undergo spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts and macerate on their skins for 8 days, giving the wine its amber color and light tannic grip. Fermentation and aging take place in cement vats and amphora. The wine is bottled unfined and unfiltered with minimal added sulfur.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe name Buriana comes from \"Burian,\" a cold Siberian wind known for bringing storms. The vineyards are farmed without pesticides, herbicides, or systemic treatments, with all work done by hand.
