Monkey Jacket 2017 has a perfumed and floral nose with white flowers, orange blossoms and a hint of rose. Fresh, crushed red fruits on the palate, with ripe, round fresh tannins, finishing clean and bright in the mouth.

A blend primarily composed of Valdiguié, Carignan, Tannat, and red field blend from the North Coast of California. This is an attempt to capture the vintage in a glass and show what California is exceptional at - making a high quality, engaging, wine for your table.


The Producer: Cruse Wine Co.

Cruse Wine Co. is the brainchild of talented winemaker Michael Cruse and it’s located in Petaluma, Sonoma County. Micheal sources his grapes from the best vineyards of Northern California and produces a fairly wide array of wines, including reds from Valdiguié Napa native grapes as well as great and yet affordable Champenoise method sparkling wines. On Primal Wine we will feature all of his wines, stay tuned!

Primal Wine is not backed by venture capital money – we proudly are a mom and pop independent online store – and we must charge shipping on all orders, otherwise we wouldn’t be in business.
