The winery grew out of a group of friends who gathered around Prof. Giardino's country house in the 1990s, where he made wine for family and friends. They produced roughly 2,000 bottles in the late 1990s and printed a homemade label, and the winery took shape from there.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eTheir position on natural wine is blunt: wine is an agricultural and cultural product made by transforming grapes with nothing added, and anything added turns it into something else.
